Forecasting, Weather Monitoring, and Climatology

EUVE's meteorology division develops services and products related to meteorology, hydrology, and related sciences. Its lines of work focus on three preferential subjects: the knowledge of past weather (climatology), current weather (weather monitoring), and future weather (forecasting).

These activities make up the majority of the weather knowledge phases which are:

• Numerical modeling
• Design of observation networks
• Use of meteorological instruments
• Processing and representation of remote detection data
• Storage, management, and administration of weather databases

EUVE’s experience in meteorology and the use of geographical information systems and space remote detection systems is specialized in:

FORECASTING

Use of limited area numerical models to predict local weather in high resolution. We provide hydrometeorological modeling for environmental applications, dispersion studies, air quality evaluation and control, etc. Forecasting using general weather information, forecasts, meteograms, and significant weather charts.

WEATHER MONITORING

Design of hydrometeorological monitoring and alert systems. Advising on optimal places to carry out different industrial activities. Hydrometeorological follow up of various activities (transportation, construction, sports events,....)

CLIMATOLOGY

Climatological studies and detailed reports on the adverse meteorological situations for specific users. Maintenance of hydrometeorological data bases, design, debugging, statistical processing, 2D and 3D stereoscopic graphic representations.
